Does Volusion require contracts?
No—contracts are not a requirement to use Volusion services. However, we do offer discounted rates with a 12-month or longer commitment.
Can I upgrade my chosen Volusion pricing plan later?
Yes—you can upgrade your plan at any time by contacting our Support Team.
What happens if my GMV per year exceeds my existing Volusion pricing plan’s maximum GMV?
Once your trailing 12 month GMV (Gross Merchandise Volume) exceeds the limits supported by your plan, you will be automatically upgraded to the next plan level and have access to the additional features of that plan.
If your GMV drops below the maximum threshold for the plan below yours, you may reach out to our Support Team or your Client Success Manager to request a downgrade—however, keep in mind that you will lose features exclusive to your higher plan level.
How does pricing work on Volusion’s Prime Plan?
On a Prime Plan, your monthly cost will depend on the yearly GMV (Gross Merchandise Volume) of your business. The GMV is the amount of total online payments that are processed through one of the payment methods we offer, inclusive of shipping, handling, taxes, and orders from online marketplaces using our built-in integrations.
Does Volusion offer discounts on pricing plans?
Yes—you can save 10% by choosing an annual plan instead of a monthly plan and making a single payment yearly. You can also receive a discounted rate for signing a commitment for 12 months or longer.
Additionally, when you purchase more than one store with us, you'll save 10% on each additional store. Simply enter "Please apply multi-store discount" in the order notes, and once our billing team verifies, we'll apply the discount to your order.
Does Volusion charge transaction fees?
Volusion customers who use Volusion Payments Powered by Stripe as their payment gateway are not charged transaction fees. Volusion customers who choose to use an alternative supported payment gateway are subject to Gateway Maintenance Fees per transaction of 1.25% for Personal Plans, 0.65% for Professional Plans, 0.35% for Business Plans, and custom percentages for Prime Plans.
Does Volusion charge bandwidth fees?
No—all Volusion plans include free, unlimited bandwidth.
What sales tax can I expect to pay with Volusion?
Volusion currently charges sales tax to merchants in the following states: AZ, CT, MA, NM, NY, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, and WA. This list of states is subject to change. If you are tax exempt, you can email your tax exemption certificate to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will adjust your account accordingly.
What is Volusion’s cancelation and refund policy?
You may cancel a subscription as of the end of the current term by contacting our Support Team and following their specific instructions. Your cancelation will not be finalized until you follow the instructions provided to you. All sales are final, and we offer no refunds of any kind.
